Seneca Lake Resorts at Sampson State Park has officially broken ground on a major expansion project that will add 100 new seasonal RV sites, bringing the resort’s total capacity to 289 sites upon completion.

The extensive development project includes site grading, construction of water retention areas, new access roads, and fully equipped RV pads featuring new municipal water, sewer, and electrical hookups. To enhance the natural landscape, over 150 trees will also be planted throughout the expansion area. Construction is expected to last six months with the new sites scheduled to be move-in ready by May 1, 2027.

This expansion represents the latest milestone in the growth of Seneca Lake Resorts. The resort initially launched with a major rebuild of its marina—adding all new docks, new boat launches, new fuel docks and a modern pump-out station—and has since grown into a premier multi-use destination. Today, resort amenities include cabin rentals, RV sites, pontoon boat rentals, a general store, concession stand, pizzeria, arcade, two dedicated dog parks, an award-winning miniature golf course, large outdoor movie theatre, and the Vista event venue hosting weddings, corporate retreats, family reunions, and live music every Friday night during the season (all open to the public).
